Patients see what
happens in the tooth.

Mesial is the demo website of a fictional dental practice in Hamburg. Before a treatment it shows on a 3D model what happens inside the tooth, and then patients can book an appointment straight away.

A demo, not a client

Mesial is not a real practice and has no patients, so we publish no outcome figures for it. Like Lamina, every page carries the bar “Demo-Website von FIB Consulting · fiktive Praxis”, search engines do not index it, and the legal notice names the actual operator, FIB Consulting. The address and phone numbers are fictional.

A molar in section, computed in the browser

The model of a lower molar has the layers of a real tooth: enamel, dentine, pulp with canals in both roots, bone with the inferior alveolar nerve, and gum. It is not downloaded as a large file; the browser computes it from a mathematical description of the shapes. Five treatments can be followed step by step: implant (8 steps), filling (3), root canal treatment (3), periodontitis (4) and wisdom tooth removal (7). On phones, arrows below the model switch between the steps, and the implant is also available as a video with a transcript. The procedures are checked against material from the Hamburg dental chamber, specialist societies and a university hospital.

Booking without a phone call

Free times are calculated from the opening hours, and the holiday week is blocked. Patients choose the reason for the visit, the day and the time, and leave only contact details, no health data. In the demo nothing is sent. The home page shows the next free times right away.

Content patients look for

What statutory health insurance pays (under the German Social Code, SGB V), what helps with fear of the dentist (following the S3 guideline), children from the first tooth, directions, careers for dental assistants, and frequently asked questions with structured data for search engines. The main pages are also in English, for patients who don’t speak German.

A game for children

Children can try a game: with a finger or the mouse they brush plaque off twenty milk teeth, in the order they learn at nursery school (chewing surfaces, outside, inside). The right motion cleans faster, and there are stars at the end. German law prohibits advertising for treatments aimed mainly at children under 14 (§ 11(1) sentence 1 no. 12 HWG), so the game is only about brushing, with no treatment and no booking.

The same standard as the live sites

Mesial has the same foundation as Lamina and the practice websites we built in Děčín: a holiday notice, opening hours with a live status and forms without health data. The design follows the FIB Consulting website (glass on a white and cool blue background), the fonts are served from our own server, and the site sets no cookies and does no visitor tracking. Facts come with sources, and the automated accessibility check (axe) finds no errors on the pages.
